Open House event, Town Hall, Nov 29th, 7 PM for Climate Action and Resilience Plan
Join the Sustainability Department for the First OPEN HOUSE event at Town Hall on Tuesday, Nov 29th, 7-9 PM for developing Sherborn's Climate Action and Resilience Plan.
We are heading into an exciting year that will give us a plan forward to prepare our community for the effects of climate change. The Sustainability Department would like to invite you, your neighbors, and your friends for weighing in with your ideas, concerns, and priorities for this collectively developed action plan.
Sherborn received a $38,000 state grant for hiring an experienced environmental consultant, Kari Hewitt, for steering the planning process. Over the course of the next seven months, you will have the opportunity to help identify 10-15 priority actions for mitigating GHG emissions and reducing vulnerabilities concerning Sherborn’s unique ecological resources, in specific the town's affected tree canopy, and deteriorating water quality of ground and surface water. You find more details about this plan here.
