    The newly renovated and expanded Sherborn Library has recently opened its doors.  We are seeking a part-time, non-benefitted, 16-hour a week, Senior Library Assistant to join our excellent team and provide services in our new Library.  Responsibilities include staffing the circulation desk and children’s desk when needed, retrieving requested materials from the stacks, answering and directing phone calls, addressing patrons’ questions about the Library and its services, assisting the public with printing and scanning and basic eBook questions. In addition, this position oversees the Library’s Museum Pass Program. This position works a variety of daytime and at least one evening shift, as well as one Saturday a month.

    Qualifications

    The position of Senior Library Assistant requires a Bachelor Degree. The ideal candidate will possess superior organizational skills, oral, written, and interpersonal communication ability; exceptional customer service experience is required. A familiarity with the use of computer hardware, basic software programs is required and attention to detail is necessary.
